We are no longer Cats With No Names,
but we are CATS WITH NAMES NOW!!!

"...a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar and more dignified,
Else how can he keep his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers or cherish his pride?"

T.S. Eliot - "The Naming of Cats"

Some More Cats!

Coal, you were loved and will be missed. Your little pawprints are left on our hearts. Coal was very sick when we found him at the "sanctuary". The level of malnutrition and illness were just too much for his little 4 lb. body to recover from and the decision was made to end his suffering on Monday March, 16th. In the end, Coal had stopped eating and could hardly walk despite all the efforts made to help him recover.

WE WILL MISS YOU! WE LOVE YOU! Lazy was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma, an aggressive cancer. The decision was made to euthanize and aleve his suffering. He had already been through so much.

WE WILL MISS YOU! WE LOVE YOU! Swayze passed peacefully after he suffered a seizure and emergency medical attention was administered. He had suppurative meningitis caused by a long, untreated infection, prior to our arrival, of E.coli. At least we know his final days were peaceful and filled with love and care. He will be missed.

Above: Left to Right: Misty, Little John, (Little John is the sickest cat we have on scene. After being evaluated by the veterinarian, receiving a few days of antibiotics, and some sub Q fluids today, he has drastically improved.  He ate readily this evening, and his eyes were bright.  What a boy!) and Ellie.

We were sad to find out that after being adopted, Amore started to show signs of her disease process and eventually the decision was made to end her suffering...Amore was one of the most loving cats out of our whole group. We love you Amore.
ADOPTED! Tested negative on second test!!!
We currently have 46 cats.  There is still one more girl running the grounds that seems way to smart for the traps.  Everyday we make an effort to catch her.  She waits faithfully every morning for her food.  We hope it is not too much longer as weather conditons here are unfavorable.  13 cats could not be saved.  They had such sever upper respiratory infections they could not eat, were lethargic, even had blood discharging  from their noses due to chronic infection.  We have recovered at this time 70 plus deceased cats on the property, we know there are more under the blanket of snow and ice but they are unable to be retrieved at this time.  Those souls, we never got to meet, will forever be engrained in our hearts.
